Shandong University: Its Early Years

In Jinan in 2016 we visited an original campus of Shandong University, once known as Cheeloo Christian University. A medical training college was first established here by Western missionary societies about 1902. Many of the original buildings are still there today. The site continues to be home to the Cheeloo College of Medicine.

Annually, for three years, starting in 2014, I was able to trace the development of a new memorial to Taylor and his China Inland Mission center of operations in Zhenjiang.
